The love I have for rainy days

I love rainy days. And that explains everything. But I never actually realized, until now, that rainy NIGHTS are better than rainy DAYS. I don't know what it is with the sound of the raindrops hitting our roof that makes me happy. Happy, yes.

Maybe because the rain reminds me of my childhood. How my friends and I would race to the basketball court and lie down in a circular form and watch as the raindrops finally hit our young faces. Faces of young, careless children with the most beautiful smiles on their faces.

Don't you just miss how SMILING actually meant that you were glad? How laughter was real? Okay I sounded like a doughnut commercial. Don't you just miss being a child? How everything was simple? Wherein the most difficult decision to make was which game to play first?

But of course my childhood wasn't always with happy memories. The rain also reminds of the time when I slipped in front of our house right before I was about to enter the gate. My neighbor saw that but thankfully she doesn't bother bringing that up. Not the finest hour of my life and yeah, it was a painful experience. I remember cursing my slippers back then.

The rain makes me hopeful, how, that I do not know. It has been my childhood dream to dance in the rain with someone special, cheesy, yes, but no point of lying. And finally, be kissed in the rain. Blame those chick flicks, okay?! Not now but someday, someday. :)

It's June and rainy season is about to start, oh how I love the smell and the thought of it!
How about let's dance in the rain one time, eh? Mushy Gwyn alert!

I need to sleep this off. Ugh, muahahaha! Have a goodnight sleep!
